Kinetic health: ecologies and mobilities of prevention in Europe, <i>c</i>. 1100-1600

چکیده
This article coins and deploys the term kinetic health as part of a broader attempt to historicize mobilities paradigm from standpoint past community prophylactics. It uses example Galenic or humoral medicine, which for millennia organized individual group dynamic systems balance among several spheres intersecting fixities flows. The radical situatedness it fostered emerges clearly tracing preventative interventions different communities in ‘preindustrial’ Europe, including urban dwellers, miners armies, whose motilities both bound people released them their immediate environment.
